Content Management (CMS) & copywriting

Behind almost all our websites is a Content Management System (CMS). This CMS enables you to manage your site independently without having to call on us for modifications to text, images and navigation etc. This is perfectly in line with our motto "It's more than digital, it's your business"; after all, it should be up to you who edits your site. 
The Reference began with its own CMS avant la lettre at the end of the 1990s and at the start of 2000 we switched to implementing and integrating solutions from various prominent players in the global CMS market. This means we can continually offer one or more solutions for every project, whereby we charge for various factors, such as technology, licencing models, cost price and scalability etc. 

Why should I use a CMS?

  • To reduce the total cost of ownership of your website. 
  • To increase the speed of applications: quickly add or change your text, images, documents and videos etc. 
  • To check the publication process thanks to publishing with a start and end date,  versioning, workflow and preview etc. 
  • To enable your IT department or supplier to act independently. 
     

For which project should I use a CMS?

  • For your Internet site. Use a CMS to take control of your own site and fully evolve your internet presence. 
  • For your Intranet. Use a CMS as a collaborative platform with a powerful search engine to improve internal communication and improve staff productivity.
  • For your Extranet. A CMS can also form a solid base for Extranet sites, which do not consist solely of transactional content but also informative content pages.   
     

What CMS should I choose?

Choosing a CMS can be a challenging and time-consuming task requiring a lot of specific knowledge in order to weigh up the pros and cons of specific solutions. We will gladly provide comprehensive advice based on our more than twenty years of experience in content management.

The 8th and 9th of September we, Frederik Van Hooghten and Nick Daelemans, represented The Reference at DrupalCamp 2017 in Antwerp, together with Steven De Boeck and Levi Govaerts. Two very interesting days that will definitely stick with us.
