Adecco needed to reduce the time to bring new brand websites in different countries to market. The Reference created a solution where branded websites can be created from a common source. The candidate and recruiter portal was streamlined to use shared technology.

About the Project

Implementing a solution, not a site

The objective of the project was to streamline the recruiting process by maintaining Adecco’s multiple brands’ websites into a centralized WCMS with a common candidate and job data store. Each website offers core functionality such as job search and resume submission. In addition, the websites provide access to a self-service portal for respective candidates to maintain their profiles and manage their job applications. The business required a centralized back-office system for the recruiters to manage their business flows with posting jobs, searching candidates, so they can more efficiently match candidates to jobs. This allows them to ultimately better serve their clients.

A multi-layer architecture created an enterprise level solution built to scale. Sitecore is the foundation to manage their public facing branded websites and the Candidate Management Self-Service Portal based on a MVVM architecture and SharePoint to drive their custom-built Recruiter Work Place for managing their recruitment back office workflows.


The Solution

Integrating systems through a common architecture

Bridging these front-office and back-office systems is a common Business Service Layer (BSL) utilizing Entity Frameworks with a RESTful architecture. The BSL interfaces with a Tibco Enterprise Service Bus to exchange data with other internal and external systems such as BroadBean for managing job postings and Search and Match.
