De Standaard Solidariteitsprijs is an annual creative competition for charity organizations. This is how it works: any charity can enter an ad. 24 are selected by a jury and receive a full page placement on the backcover of De Standaard (value around €110.000). Afterwards, one overall winner and one public award winner is chosen and both receive 3 additional full page placements. No wonder it's a popular competition. This year, 126 charity organizations entered an ad.
And guess what? Our ad for De Druglijn is one of the 24 that got picked. And rightfully so, we think. In short, the ad talks about how alcohol is usually associated with fun and good times, until, of course, it becomes problematic. Alcohol abuse remains a major problem in society, and any opportunity is welcome to remind people that help is available.
