New value proposition & information architecture
The previous website architecture approached visitors very much in terms of an inside-out segmentation, making the site seem somewhat confusing to end users. It was not easy to locate all the right information smoothly and without wasting time.
Digital agency The Reference solved the problem by tackling the challenge from the point of view of the various types of SD Worx customers and their specific needs, putting those needs first. This information was used to develop a new information architecture and work out a value proposition. The latter determined the further development of the website with regard to design and user interface.
“Thanks to our years of experience and close relationship with customers, we know what employers are wrestling with at the moment”, explains Rob Woestenborghs, Senior Digital Marketing Specialist at SD Worx Group. “That’s why we now take their definition of their problems as our starting point, rather than the products and services we offer. We subsequently link our expertise and offering to those problems.”
From IaaS to PaaS
SD Worx’s site has migrated from Microsoft Azure IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) to PaaS (Platform as a Service). Just like IaaS, PaaS offers an infrastructure, but the customer does not need to maintain the servers and operating system. This frees them up to focus more on the safely, monitoring and scalability of the website.
The new website is built on Sitecore 9. This is a logical choice, given that this integrated customer experience platform thinks in the same way that SD Worx thinks: start with the visitor and then build up personalised user experiences. The Reference has been a Platinum Implementation Partner of Sitecore for many years.
