Digital Marketing Awards 2015: The Reference 4 time winner!

November 27th 2015  -  Yesterday evening, The Reference, the full service agency from Ghent, won 1 gold, 2 silver and, last but not least, the Best Performing Agency award at the prestigious awards ceremony of the Digital Marketing Awards 2015. First, the team received a Gold Industry Award ('Most performing campaign for the financial and insurance sector') for the customer case for OZ. In addition, two silver awards for a project for Bombardier Recreational Products (respectively in the Channel Category: 'Most Performing SEA award and the Industry Category: 'Most Performing Campaign for the automotive scene') followed and on top of that the agency also received the most important award of the evening: 'Best Performing Agency '.

The Digital Marketing Awards are new Belgian awards that reward excellence on the Internet. Nominees and winners are chosen by the members of the DMA jury consisting of 12 Belgian experts, visionaries and evangelists in the field of new media and marketing. Nominated cases and winners undergo a rigorous evaluation process on the basis of a number of criteria to win these Digital Marketing awards. The Digital Marketing Awards recognize outstanding teams, personalities, agencies, tools, the most powerful digital marketing agency and the best campaign of the year. These awards focus on results and the performance of one or more campaigns for the same office or team.

Within the category of the Industry Awards The Reference won gold for the 'Most Performing Campaign for the Financial and insurance scene' for the case: 'OZ triple their online customer applications'. This case is an excellent example of how The Reference enabled the digital strategy, entirely organically, to grow along with the ongoing growth in maturity of the customer and the growth of the brand awareness of OZ (Independent Insurance). Starting from an Adwords campaign with a limited budget, The Reference over time became, after also taking care of the ambitious online strategy and building the online platform of OZ, the partner of the OZ for 'all things digital marketing' as well. Through a constantly evolving use in various channels (eg. Search, Display, Media Buying, video, ...) within the digital marketing approach for OZ, the same message is brought again and again to leads: it's actually not that difficult to change your insurance fund. The two lead generation tools "Calculate your advantage' and 'Insure your health ' allow potential churners to see very concretely what a move to OZ would mean for them. This approach proves to be a great success! In last year's online customer applications have literally exploded: the number of customer requests has tripled in just one year.

Two silver awards for work for Bombardier Recreational Products (respectively in the Channel Category: 'Most Performing SEA' award and the Industry Category:' Most Performing Campaign for the automotive scene') followed. Later in the evening the team of The Reference was called to the stage for the 4th time to receive the main award of  'Best performing agency'. An important recognition for the online marketing team (consisting of nearly 20 colleagues!) of the agency using its expertise every day for major national and international clients such as Ansell, Unilever, Makro, DELA, Bekaert, De Persgroep, Colruyt, IKEA, Fun, Bombardier, Auping ... The mix of expertience, knowledge and an innovative, results-driven approach of the The Reference's online marketing team really benefits the business of their customers. And, yesterday evening, with the granting of these 4 awards, the experienced jury has once more confirmed this.
